Lake Erie is known as some of the finest smallmouth bass fishing in the Eastern United States. Smallmouth bass sizes in the Western Basin average 15-18 inches with many 20 plus inch fish common.
Prime times for Lake Erie smallmouth bass fishing are in the late summer months of July, August and September and early fall during October.
